Tumorous Hesticles Just Say Cancer – Book publication date announced

Dear Readers,

It’s been a long ride but I am delighted to announce that my upcoming book will be released on October 24th 2023 exclusively on Amazon.

For the new readers here, whilst working at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and living the dream in Brazil I found a tumour. A short battle against stage 2 testicular cancer resulted in a social media campaign and a diary of what happened.

After 4 years (yes it took me a while to digest and reflect on what happened), I started writing my self-help memoir for other young people and their families going through cancer treatment.

The book is light-hearted and written in a jocular tone to make a heavy subject, feel not so heavy. There are the serious parts and sometimes sad parts too, but that’s all part of the journey.

You can even pre-order Tumorous Hesticles now if you have a kindle. (Paperback version will be ready on October 24th.

I’ve had some fantastic support so far and I am looking forward (and terribly nervous) for the launch date.

Ambassador Role for Cancer Charity

I’m also delighted to have been asked to be a male ambassador for leading UK cancer charity for people in their 20’s and 30’s, Trekstock. Trekstock have kindly given a quote for the back of the book as well as arranging some marketing. I can’t wait to see what comes of it and look forward to meeting the team at their meet ups and corporate events.

I’m asking for all the people I can to jump onto Amazon on the week of October 24th (preferably on that date) and search for Tumorous Hesticles Just Say Cancer and purchase the book.

I even had the surprise last night of seeing that my book had reached two of the charts on Amazon for ‘Hot New Releases’. Currently sitting at #33 in books on Disorders and Diseases and number #53 in Mental Health. It made it all feel a bit more real.

I’ll be dropping into your inboxes a few more times in the next two weeks so I would love it if you can get anyone you know interested to subscribe to my newsletter here…

And to finish…

A big thank you to Juliet Townsend of @Art_by_Juliet_townsend who squeezed in my book Tumorous Hesticles next to Charles Darwin on The Book Nook window art at a book shop in Essex.

How cool is this?
